I guess all the excitement between me and my family, the anticipation of the trip etc. was to much and mother nature (ie: god) just put the hammer down on us on Sunday in Seattle and gave the city more snow than it could handle.
Our flight out on Monday morning got canceled, and with it being Christmas week, it was a much bigger inconvenience than a normal week and the only options were terrible. We were lucky in one sense to find this out at 6pm while were at home on Sunday night, and not at 5am Monday when we would be arriving at the already overly crowded airport. There was so much pressure on Sunday night to decided what to do....from the airlines. And at the moment nothing sounded like a true option.
So, as of Sunday night, we were home in Seattle, no tree, already opened our presents and it was only Dec. 21st. This required me to do some tequilla shots just to try and accept. After all, I travel 26x a year for WORK, why couldn't this happen on a WORK trip?
